Location: Blackwater, QLD 4717

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor is to coordinate and instruct the maintenance crews in relation to daily operations and to achieve a high level of production. The Maintenance Supervisor must also ensure maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and productive manner in accordance with:

• Yarrabee’s Safety & Health Management System
• Yarrabee’s policies & procedures and Code of Discipline
• Yarrabee’s maintenance schedule
• Manufacturers procedures and recommendations
• Industry best operating practices

About You

To be successful in this position you will hold the below qualifications & experience:

• Trade Qualification
• Current Supervisor competencies (S1,S2, S3 and G2)
• Applicable Coal Competencies
• Current Standard 11 Mine Induction (Surface)
• Current Queensland Driver’s licence
• Previous experience in the supervision of employees within a maintenance team of plant and machinery within a mining or heavy industry environment
• Proven previous experience with fault finding on heavy mining equipment

Skills and Experience

• Sound communication, analytical and problem solving skills
• Intermediate computer literacy
• Good fault finding skills on heavy mining equipment
• Ability to self-manage and prioritise work load
• Ability to exercise initiative, working both independently and co-operatively
