About the role

We are looking for an engaging, safety focused Senior Engineer to lead our Maintenance Engineering Team at our Cape Lambert Port B (CLB) Operations.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to draw on your people leadership skills and technical knowledge. The Senior Engineer and their team will provide support to the Fixed Plant teams. They will lead a diverse team of Mechanical Engineers and Condition Monitoring team.

Your demonstrated ability to engage, connect and positively influence will prove valuable to the effectiveness of this role. You will partner with the Maintenance, Operational teams and other key stakeholders of the fixed plant team to provide efficient improvements in equipment availability, best practice tactics and productivity solutions.

Reporting to the CLB Maintenance Superintendent working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will bring:

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Leadership experience and confidence in coaching and developing a diverse group of Engineers on a continuous improvement journey.
  • Experience in Fixed Plant
  • Experience in the Defect Elimination Process and tools
  • Demonstrated complex problem-solving abilities to deliver solutions across an operation
  • Coordinating and driving asset tactics strategy, assessment, and the completion of review requests
  • Experience in prioritisation and allocation of projects to improve Reliability
  • Experience in partnering with teams at all levels to deliver business objectives
  • Providing advice on remaining life of asset to inform Operational capital prioritisation

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will need to have demonstrated experience of:

  • Strong safety leadership qualities
  • Strong partnership with operations and maintenance
  • Managed medium to large size multidisciplinary technical teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and key stakeholders across the business

Additional qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering is required for this role
  • A current and valid manual ‘C Class’ driver's license
  • At least 5 years’ experience of working in Resources industry

Where you will be working

Located 50km east of Karratha, Cape Lambert Port facilities consist of 2 shipping terminals which form an essential part of our supply chain process. Port B (CLB) has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
