The MI-Pathways website, www.mi-pathways.com is a one-stop shop hosting information on short courses and degree programs for professionals already in the minerals industry and also for associated professionals who are looking to switch careers into the minerals industry. It is a tool to assist professionals with both professional development and employability.
Developed by the Minerals Tertiary Education Council (MTEC), MI-Pathways allows minerals industry professionals to search for either degree programs to specialise in their current field or short courses to improve their current skills available from Australian providers. Once the user enters their current profession, a list of suggested programs will appear on the screen with full course details and the option to enrol in the program or register interest. A similar process is followed for professionals looking to complete qualifications that will assist with a career change into the minerals industry.MI-Pathways makes finding an appropriate minerals related short-course or degree program easy with various search options. It also provides comprehensive yet concise information for each course or degree on: delivery options, course descriptions, prerequisites, learning outcomes, content, presenters, assessment, fees and contact details.
