We are looking for motivated, strategic and engaging individuals to join our team in the role of Advisor Facilities Operations, based on site supporting our iron ore operations.

Facilities Operations works in partnership with our service providers to support the safe delivery of facilities management services in our villages, towns, ports, and mine sites. Through an outsourced integrated service model, we deliver accommodation, catering, cleaning, grounds, facilities maintenance, transport and airport services.  

The Advisor Facilities Operations will support the delivery of facilities management services by focusing on safety, partnership, stakeholder engagement, and quality assurance. These roles are diverse in terms of scope and stakeholders, offering a unique opportunity to connect with all areas of the iron ore business.

A strong team environment will support your growth and success in the role with collaboration and communication a focus of Facilities Operations.

What you’ll bring

Reporting to the Superintendent Facilities Operations, you will bring:

  • Experience in Facilities Management and outsourced integrated service delivery

  • Coaching and supporting team members across multiple geographical locations

  • Experience in contributing to the growth and sustainability of a mature safety culture

  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills

  • Experience working in collaborative partnerships

  • Ability to support the management of psycho-social events

  • Demonstrated system and process improvement skills

  • Manual C Class driver's licence 

It will also be beneficial if you have: 

  • In-field safety experience and a strong working knowledge of Rio Tinto’s safety systems and processes

  • Experience with Rio Tinto’s Contractor Management System

  • Formal qualifications in Facilities Management

  • Bachelor level degree
