Auto Mine Technician - King of the Hills

Join the King of the Hills team as an Auto Mine Technician and be responsible for maintenance, repairs and administration of Sandvik autonomous and remotely operated mobile equipment.

2/2, 7/7 or 8/6 roster options

Rates aligned and adjusted with your trade skills and experience

7% market uplift allowance - paid quarterly

Only 1hr 15mins flight from Perth + 20 mins to camp + 9 mins to site

Virgin flight – collect frequent flyer points

Mostly new fleet

About you

• A demonstrated passion for safety and a proactive attitude toward ensuring that safety is front of mind
• Relevant Australian recognised trade qualification – Auto Electrical preferred
• A sound knowledge on Sandvik U/G Development/Production Drills and Loaders
• Proven knowledge on remote control systems – Automine
• Experienced in training less qualified tradespeople to a high standard in a high productivity underground contracting mining environment.
• Strong background working with latest generation underground mobile equipment and associated automation systems.
• Sound diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and understand schematics
• At least 3 years post apprenticeship experience working within the underground mining industry on large mobile equipment.
• Self-starter who will work with minimal supervision
• Excellent service and maintenance approach to the job.
• Current Australian C Class Driver’s License – manual
