About the role  

We are looking for Belt Splicers to join our Asset Health Technicians for newly created QA/QC roles across various sites in the Pilbara. These roles are a great opportunity for safety conscious individuals looking to continually improve and contribute to our culture and world class asset. You’ll be part of a friendly and high performing team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work 8 days on, 6 days off roster with some night shift if required, allowing you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life. 

We prioritize the maximization of asset value through effective asset management practices. Our team is dedicated to delivering safe outcomes and sustainable physical assets through efficient application of our asset management strategy and business plans.Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the QA/QC Supervisor, you will:   

  • Verify splicing quality and ensure all belt repairs meet RTIO standards and OEM specifications.
  • Document QA/QC processes including photos, measurements, and compliance reports.
  • Monitor belt asset health using condition monitoring tools and report findings to supervisors.
  • Support shutdowns and maintenance activities, ensuring QA/QC sign-off before commissioning.
  • Maintain accurate records in SAP and QA systems for traceability and continuous improvement.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in belt maintenance practices and contribute to safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with crews and contractors to uphold RTIO’s safety culture and core values.

What you’ll bring   

  • A commitment to safety and quality in everything you do.
  • Cert III in Polymer Processing.
  • Experience in conveyor belt maintenance and splicing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow QA/QC processes.
  • Manual C-Class driver’s licence (HR desirable).
  • Familiarity with SAP / PDS (advantageous).
