Due to our ongoing growth, Macmahon is currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced people to join the team at the King of the Hills (KOTH) mine located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, 28km north of Leonora. Macmahon has secured a five-year Surface and Underground mining contract with RED 5 Ltd. The mine anticipates annual production above 200kozpa. KOTH is Australia’s next major Gold Mine, which will feature state-of-the-art technology, 85% new plant and brand-new camp facilities.

Macmahon is committed to attracting high potential employees and believe that our people define our competitive edge in the marketplace, driving our growth. We are currently seeking experienced Underground Boilermakers on a 2:2 roster with responsibilities not limited to:
•    Perform all General Boiler making duties including the use of: Welding (MIG, TIG, MMAW, FCAW), gouging, cutting and Heating or other duties as specified by your Supervisor and report findings accurately. 
•    Access materials /parts required to repair or fabricate the component. 
•    Must be able to read from Engineering Drawings and work accurately to plans. 
•    Build, repair and fabricate components for all plant and equipment. 
•    Maintain & Use Equipment as designed 
•    Perform assigned tasks in a timely & safe Manner 

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience
•    Australian recognised Trade Certificate
•    Demonstrated experience working on a range of heavy-duty mobile plant, including: Sandvik Drills & Loaders, Epiroc Trucks, Volo Integrated Tool Carriers & Ancillary Equipment
•    Dedicated commitment to safety and quality assurance
•    Exceptional Boilermaking skills  skills
•    Previous experience in the mining industry or large scale operations; 
•    Physically fit for the demands of the role;
•    Minimum of a manual HR class driver’s license

Should you be successful in being offered a role in Macmahons’ Surface Mining Division, you will be required to pass a medical and drug and alcohol test along with obtaining a National Police Clearance.
