We’re on the lookout for a Data Engineer who’s confident working across Azure and Databricks and enjoys building things properly from the ground up.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be designing and maintaining modern data pipelines and playing a big part in how data moves through the business.

If you like solving real-world problems, improving how teams access and use data, and being part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team — we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

  • Building and managing SparkSQL or PySpark pipelines in an Azure Data Lakehouse setup.
  • Using tools like Azure Data Factory, Data Lake Gen2, Databricks, and Synapse to bring together large data sets that are clean, reliable, and ready to use.
  • Working with stakeholders across the business, to understand what’s needed and help shape the data architecture to support it.
  • Keeping a close eye on pipeline performance, resolving any issues, and looking for ways to make things run better.
  • Making sure our data is secure across both cloud and on-prem platforms.
  • Keeping documentation up to date so everyone can follow how the system works.
  • Helping improve our DevOps approach, including CI/CD processes for data work.

What We're Looking For

  • Solid experience as a Data Engineer working with modern data tools and platforms.
  • Confidence with Azure services like ADF, Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse, and Azure SQL.
  • Strong SQL skills and some hands-on experience with Python.
  • Familiar with DevOps tools and practices, especially within the Azure environment.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and know how to get messy data into shape.
  • Drive to take ownership of your work, ask good questions, and enjoy figuring things out.

Bonus Points For

  • Azure Data Engineer Associate certification.
  • Databricks accreditation or certification.
  • Experience with Power BI or other visualisation tools.
  • A background in analytics, BI, or similar data-focused environments.

Why This Role?

  • You’ll have influence – This isn’t a maintenance role. You’ll help design how our data systems work.
  • Plenty of variety – Cloud, on-prem, multiple teams — no two days will look the same.
  • Trusted to get on with it – We hire people for their capability and let them do what they do best.
  • Supportive team – Work with people who are collaborative, practical, and easy to get along with.
  • Room to grow – Learn new tools, take on new challenges, and expand your skills.

If you’re looking for a role where your work has real impact and you get to build things properly, this could be a great fit.

Apply now — we’d love to hear from you.
