Job Tasks and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead and manage electrical maintenance activities at our Yarrabee site. This critical role ensures that all electrical appliances and equipment are maintained in a safe, reliable, and compliant condition, in line with the site's regulations and requirements. Playing a key role to enable continuous operations across the site, you will:

Oversee the maintenance and servicing of all site electrical equipment and infrastructure.

Ensure compliance with the Yarrabee Electrical Management Plan and relevant legislation.

Maintain continuous, safe power supply and electrical system reliability across the site.

Monitor and enforce electrical safety standards.

Develop, implement, and maintain standards of electrical practices and procedures.

Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with site and statutory electrical requirements.

Lead and coordinate a team of electricians and contractors in daily operations
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of responsibilities under the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act & associated regulations, advanced electrical knowledge of HV systems, heavy equipment, fault finding, and the ability to ensure consistent maintenance, planning, and servicing practices, supported by the following:

Trade Qualified

Open Cut Electrical Engineering Cert of Competency – RIIRIS301D

S1, S2, S3 & G2

Current Open Driver’s Licence

Standard 11
Experience
-
Electrical repair, maintenance & fault finding of plant/machinery in mining or heavy industry

Proven team leadership

SAP with Master Data exposure

Project management experience
-
Knowledge of mining equipment operations & maintenance
Skills

Strong written and verbal communication

Effective negotiation & interpersonal skills

High safety awareness
-
Proficient in Microsoft programs

Advanced fault-finding on heavy mining equipment

Team management & workload prioritisation
