Our Opportunity

 

Location: Christmas Creek -  located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.


Roster: 7D/7R - FIFO ex Perth

 

We are seeking an experienced NPI Electrician to join our Site Services team at Christmas Creek. Reporting to the NPI Supervisor, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems associated with Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI), including camp facilities, workshops, offices, water services, and site infrastructure.

 

This role is critical in ensuring reliable power distribution, compliance, and safe operation of electrical assets across site.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Install, maintain and fault-find electrical systems across NPI assets
  • Maintain power generation and distribution systems (LV)
  • Conduct inspections, testing and preventative maintenance activities
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults efficiently and safely
  • Maintain compliance with Australian Standards and site procedures
  • Complete accurate documentation, work orders and reporting
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Adhere to Fortescue’s safety standards and values at all times

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • WA Electrical Workers Licence (unrestricted)
  • Current CPR/LVR certification
  • HV Switching (desirable)
  • Cert IV in Electrical - Instrumentation (desirable)
  • Experience in mining or heavy industrial environments
  • Experience working with generators, switchboards, camp infrastructure and water/wastewater systems (desirable)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
