About the role
We are looking for an Evaluator Asset Health to support our sites with the remote monitoring and diagnosis of faults to improve Heavy Mobile Equipment reliability.
This is a great opportunity for a highly analytical and motivated individual to work within our Integrated Operations team to support the Rio Tinto business.

Reporting to the Integrated Operations Supervisor, and working in challenging and exciting environment, you will be:
- Remotely monitoring the health of mining equipment using real time data from our Pilbara operations;
- Analysing HME data to identify and prioritise issues or activities identified as safety critical events whilst optimising production opportunities;
- Providing expert advice from both your experience working on HME or with the aid of electronic manuals to assist in increasing machine availability or performance;
- Identifying predictive maintenance activities and generating notifications;
- Analysis of mobile equipment Oils samples and subsequent creation of recommendation(s) to sites and notification;
- Responding to various site requests from the Operations Centre to real time, troubleshoot or fault find equipment to assist in increasing machine performance;
- Monitoring equipment failure modes over time and identifying focus areas for HME continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ll bring

- Heavy machinery trade background in either Mechanical / Electrical or Asset Management fields;
- An analytical mind with strong problem-solving skills, sound communication, and computer skills;
- Significant demonstrated experience in mining maintenance (either OEM / site based)
- A strong safety focused mindset;
- Knowledge of SAP and Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office and;
- Experience with maintenance activities for HME - Komatsu (730E, 830, 930, WA1200, L1350/1850/2350), Caterpillar (785, 789, 793, 992, 994), Hitachi (EX3600, 5600, 8000)

Where you’ll be working
The role will be based in Perth at both the Operations Centre. Our state-of-the-art Operations Centre (OC) located near the Perth domestic airport, operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to coordinate our integrated network of mines, rail, power and ports. It enables all our mines, ports and rail systems to be operated from a single location, optimising site activities from 1,500km away.
