Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 20% of the world’s manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a 4:3 roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns. Domestic relocation assistance to Darwin or Cairns from anywhere in Australia is provided.

As the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing finance business partnering and performance reporting across operational areas, driving effective financial management and informed decision-making.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Drive and facilitate the site-based management reporting process; including month-end close, budgeting and forecasting.
• Support the operations through a customer focused approach for the provision of analysis, reviews, accurate performance reporting, and financial guidance.
• Support adherence to cost management processes and enable a strong understanding of cost per operational area.
• Maintain, develop, and embed improvements to PowerBI cost management tools, SAP data integrity, and financial models.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Experience working in a similar operational partnering role within Mining or Manufacturing Industry.
• Analysing complex and large financial data sets to facilitate insight to management and identification of improvement opportunities.
• Building relationships and influencing stakeholders across all levels.
• Financial modelling and valuation experience.
• Strong experience in PowerBI reporting development and databases.

Qualifications for this position are: 

• CA/CPA or Bachelor’s degree with relevant finance experience.
