About the Role
We are seeking highly skilled Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our Maintenance teams across the Central Pilbara. This is a permanent opportunity offered on a 8/6 7/7 (8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off) roster from Perth or Busselton. The successful individuals will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will demonstrate the following:
Responsibilities include:
- Mechanical diagnosing and repairing of Mobile Plant Equipment
- Maintain a high level working knowledge of safety processes
- Following scheduled planned / breakdown maintenance and carrying out inspections on equipment as required
- Execute work orders as per schedule and to a high standard
- Completing inspections and repairs as per the maintenance strategies
- Scoping and creating 1SAP notifications for preventative work
- Overriding commitment to BHP Charter, health, safety, environment and sustainable development;
About You We are eager to engage with energetic and experienced Heavy Duty Auto Electricians who have demonstrated large-scale equipment maintenance experience. Your expertise in problem solving & diagnostics, coupled with your ability to communicate and build strong team relationships will make you an ideal candidate. Your focus on continuous improvement along with your ability to coach and mentor will be highly regarded.
- As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Heavy Diesel Fitting Trade (Australian recognised) - essential
- Experience working in a mining environment (desirable);
- A current manual drivers licence;
- Computer literacy and/or experience in 1SAP;
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work well within a team to achieve outcomes;
If you have demonstrated experience in heavy industry, aviation, manufacturing or similar we encourage your application.
An Australian recognised Trade Qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanic and a valid Driver’s licence are essential. Capability in 1SAP or similar maintenance systems is desirable.
