LAP Traineeship Tyre Fitters
18 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Northern Operations - Monday - Friday day shifts
Amrun Operations - 7:7 Day shifts
We are looking for LAP (Local Aboriginal Persons) Tyre Fitting trainees to complete training and be able to maintain the site’s Heavy Mobile Equipment to ensure this critical equipment is available for operational requirements.
Duties include:
· Conduct maintenance activities on HME tyres 24” and above.
· Conduct inspections on wheels and their components.
· Maintain tyre pressures in accordance with OEM specifications.
· Recording and taking photographic evidence of work completed in order to gain Cert II qualification.
· Working towards increasing equipment reliability as well as availability.
· Carrying out daily Tyre Bay inspections and other various tasks.
· Conduct weekly tyre pressure checks in the field on the mobile fleet and conduct regular PM works on tyre on heavy earthmoving equipment.
Successful applicants must be:
· Have Current Open Driver’s License.
· Have LAP status approval
· Forklift License & HR License Highly Desirable
· Be able to communicate effectively withing a team environment
· Be Physically fit and able to carry out tasks in the indoors.
· Be able to operate a computer and be proficient in word and be able to send and receive emails and communicate with suppliers
· Be enthusiastic and have a passion to work within a team
