About the Role   Caval Ridge is located in Queensland's Bowen Basin on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna people. We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Fitters to join our maintenance crew. Roles will be Fly-in-Fly-Out from Brisbane or Cairns, or Drive-in-Drive-out. The roster will be a 7:7 day night rotating roster. You will be responsible for maintaining and diagnosing heavy mobile equipment in the Hydraulics Maintenance Department.

Your role will involve, but is not limited to: 

 •  Disassembling/assembling machinery from OEMs such as Hitachi, Caterpillar, and Sandvik•  Servicing and diagnosing machinery including large and small excavators, dozers and drills•  Proven experience fault finding and maintaining Diesel & Hydraulic Systems •  Experience and knowledge in mining support equipment preferred •  Creating a safe learning environment and a commitment to safety training and technical growth 

 About You • Relevant Diesel fitting or mechanical trade qualification essential  • A proven commitment to safety • The ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within your work group • Proven ability to work well under pressure, demonstrating high levels of initiative • Demonstrated prior experience working with heavy plant, road vehicles and equipment, small engines or transferrable examples • Forklift and dogging tickets preferred – but not essential   About Our Process  At BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
