What your day looks like:

• Ensure labour resources are prepared before equipment delivery and repairs commence
• Understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Joint Hazard Assessment (JHA) risk assessment format
• Adhere to procedures and manufacturer instructions for servicing and repairing mobile equipment
• Collaborate with Premier Coal Mine supervision and planning team for well-planned major component outages
• Clear documented backlog in coordination with major outages
• Build positive relationships with stakeholders for effective Emeco fleet management

What we’ll need from you: 

• Proven post-trade experience with heavy earthmoving equipment; namely Caterpillar, Komatsu, and Hitachi
• Experienced Supervisor experience in open cut mining
• Recognised National Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Fitter Trade Qualification
• High level of understanding of maintenance and reliability principles
• Strong communication skills with a focus on team and company culture
• Hold a current Australian Driver's License
• Schedule 26 certified – Or able to obtain during our process
