About the Role
BMA Goonyella riverside Mine is seeking a Load and Haul Manager. This critical leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee one of Queensland’s largest and most advanced open cut operations, inspiring a large workforce and helping set the standard for safety, performance, and culture across site.
As part of the Senior Leadership team, you will set the direction for Load and Haul operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will:
• Lead and mentor a large, diverse team of supervisors, operators and support staff across our extensive load and haul fleet, including 90+ autonomous trucks.• Drive a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with site standards and legislative requirements.• Develop and execute operational plans that achieve production targets and deliver operational excellence.• Collaborate with site leadership teams, including technical services, maintenance and HSE, to optimise mine performance.• Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture where your people can thrive and grow.• Contribute to strategic decision-making as part of the site leadership team.

About You
You are an engaging operational leader with a proven track record of delivering results through people, process and innovation. You bring:
• Senior leadership experience in large-scale open cut mining, or similar environments (load and haul exposure highly regarded).• Strong people leadership skills – the ability to inspire, engage and develop large and diverse teams.• Excellent strategic and operational planning skills, with the ability to balance short-term production goals and long-term site objectives.• A commitment to fostering inclusion, diversity and a positive workplace culture.• Sound operational and technical knowledge of open cut mining practices and mine planning principles.• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent operational experience).• Queensland SSE certificate of competency – or willingness to obtain
