About the Role
As the Manager of Network Engineering Delivery for APAC, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering robust, secure, and scalable network solutions. You will oversee a team of 40 (including 3 direct reports), manage vendor relationships, and ensure alignment with Rio Tinto’s strategic goals and network standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of network engineering services across East, West, and Asia Pacific regions.
- Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with business objectives.
- Manage demand pipelines, project scoping, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with network and security standards.
- Act as an escalation point for critical incidents and support operational teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and delivery partners.
Key Relationships
- Internal: Network Platform Teams, Global Network Services, OT Teams, Service Delivery, Governance.
- External: Vendors (Cisco, Nokia, APC), Delivery Partners (Data3, Equinix, BT), PMO, Business Partners.
What You’ll Bring
Required:
- Degree in IT or a relevant engineering discipline.
- 5+ years in a senior design/leadership role in IT or telecommunications.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication and influencing abilities.
Desirable:
- Industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA).
- Experience in remote/isolated environments.
- Familiarity with HSE principles in tech project execution.
