One of Australia’s largest mines and a complex minerals processing operation, Olympic Dam, is unique in that we produce Copper, Uranium, Gold and Silver. Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7/7 roster pattern arrangement with residential, FIFO (from Adelaide) or DIDO options available.

The position will report to the Supervisor of the Surface Mechanical Maintenance Execution team where you will work closely with Surface Maintenance and Production teams, helping perform both planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance across the Hydromet and Solvent Extraction area.

In this role you will:

  • Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day to achieve set goals
  • Assist with any planned Mechanical maintenance and complete tasks in a safe and timely manner and safely
  • Provide Mechanical trade skills to perform planned and or breakdown maintenance across all areas of the Hydromet and Solvent Extraction operations
  • Work with your team to a high level of Safety, accountability and be able to build constructive team relationships
  • Provide feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor on job progress as required

About You

  • Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
  • Australian recognised Mechanical Trade (Fitter) qualifications
  • High Risk License and associated qualifications (dogging and rigging etc) highly advantageous
  • Excellent work ethic and accountable with a good team focus
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as work individually when required
  • Ability to communicate well across multiple levels and disciplines throughout the business
