About the Role

As the Mine Controller you will be based within our South Flank Control team taking ownership for achieving production targets, by enabling the effective operation of our Autonomous fleet using the FrontRunner Fleet Management System.

Reporting to the Supervisor AHS Control, you will safely execute the daily operations plan while optimising the utilisation of the autonomous truck fleet. You will take an active role in ensuring compliance to schedule and operating philosophies, driving a culture that not only conforms to company safety standards, but also seeks to continuously improve operating efficiency and realise cost benefits.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Understand site Safety Systems and their link to health and safety
  • Manage the autonomous fleet effectively and efficiently
  • Maximise compliance to operational plan
  • Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Continuous improvement through identifying system and operational process improvements in the use of the autonomous fleet management system
  • Solutions focused and strive to improve in a high performing team each day

The Mine Controller AH System role is initially site based before transitioning to Perth. For the execution of Autonomous Haulage at South Flank, this position is required to be temporarily based on site initially for 18-24 months on an 8/6/7/7 roster, before transitioning to Perth on the Lifestyle roster.

About You

We are seeking candidates who are excited about being part of a large technology transformation and who have the following:

  • Previous Mine Control experience required as either a Mine Controller or Dispatch Operator
  • Experience with Autonomous technologies such as FrontRunner highly regarded
  • Good at adapting to change and ability to work autonomously
  • A great attitude towards learning and developing new skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative, coaching and influencing skills
  • A high level of computer literacy and excellent verbal communication skills
