Job Tasks and Responsibilities
We are currently seeking an experience Mechanical technician to join Ashton's Mobile Maintenance Workshop.
Reporting to the Mobile Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Execution of planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on heavy mobile equipment including Haul Trucks, Loaders & Dozers
- Providing mechanical support to the mobile maintenance team including fuelling & servicing equipment
- Operate equipment as required to support the operational needs of the business
Skills and Experience
To be successful in securing this role, you will possess the following:• Mechanical or Plant Mechanic trade qualification (essential)• Minimum 3 years' experience in the mining or heavy industry in a similar role (essential)• Previous experience in a production or maintenance environment (essential)• Previous experience working with surface mobile equipment specifically electric drive haul trucks, dozers, loaders and light vehicles (essential)• Ability to effectively problem solve and diagnose machine faults/breakdowns• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Safety consious with a can-do attitude
