Work Location: CloudbreadkFortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

 

Roster: 4D/3Off /8D/ 6Off ex Perth, Busselton, Port Hedland, Broome, Karratha

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, to manage and coordinate the HME Dept. Maintenance, to achieve sustainable equipment reliability, in a safe and effective manner, within budget along with managing the long-term life of the HME supporting fleets and assets, aligned to the strategic requirement of the corporate Asset Management Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and review asset management standards and strategies for maintenance systems to comply with Fortescue and statutory requirements.
  • Lead and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA, CI, DE process) investigations for product performance issues
  • Build the technical knowledge within the team, to deliver sustainable, reliability and availability performance. This is a requirement to meet the budgeted production requirements for the site
  • Ensure dept. headcount is in line with department org. structures. Liaise with vendors to fill vacant positions
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the site teams on all reliability and performance concerns
  • Initiate and develop maintenance projects to gain and sustain reliability in our fleet (In conjunction with dept. leadership team
  • Assist and mentor Supervisors to ensure planned and unplanned work is executed successfully

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in a Superintendent role or seconded position of similar disciplines, 5 plus years as a supervisor or coordinator role or similar leadership position
  • Cert III Mechanical Engineering Trade Certificate
  • Statutory Supervisor 26 Certificate
  • Sound Experience in people management and negotiating
  • Sound Experience in developing and leading a Safety Leadership culture and working with safety management systems
  • Experience in making decisions to balance urgent and important tasks on hand.
  • High level Communication, Facilitation and Presentation skills.
  • High level & demonstratable skills and ability to manage department budgets
  • Ability to manage, drive, hold accountability and influence change
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and continual improvement
  • Developing maintenance initiatives or projects
  • WHS Statutory Mining Supervisor course certification
