Join the Telfer Gold Mine Maintenance team as a Maintenance Planner and be responsible for ensuring the coordination of all of the logistical issues and resource allocation for the mobile maintenance weekly execution plans. The right candidate is required to prioritise and allocate resources to the mobile maintenance planned work packages ready for execution by the maintenance teams.


Location: The Telfer Gold Mine is located in the Great Sandy Desert in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia and produces copper and gold. Site facilities include a gymnasium, swimming pool and recreational areas.

8:6 ALL DAYS roster


Roles and Responsibilities but are not limited to:
•    Review and maintain LTP with 1 month, 3 month and 12 month horizons
•    Place materials orders for task related work  
•    Develop and maintain the long term component forecast
•    Maintaining and updating records of maintenance costs, plant history and task changes within the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
•    Organising external service providers as required
•    Creation of component BOM lists
•    Providing site support for maintenance and KPI reporting
•    Assisting with the generation of long term budget forecasts and strategy
•    Manage classified plant in accordance with MISR
•    Maintain bucket register
•    Identify scope, work steps resources and equipment required to achieve planned jobs
•    Co-ordinate organise maintenance statutory inspections and compliance
•    Co-ordinate, organise, plan major SME shutdowns, develop appropriate job steps and work pack
•    Ensure that ARC register and process followed and manage data collection.
•    Validate current maintenance strategies to OEM recommendations


About you
•    5-10 years' mining or maintenance
•    Demonstrated experience with various Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
•    Direct experience with heavy mobile equipment maintenance
•    OEM Warranty experience
•    Excellent organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage fluctuating workloads and prioritize accordingly
•    Highly developed communication skills (interpersonal, written and verbal)
•    Ability to create, maintain and be able to “talk to” Gantt charts, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and ERP systems such as SAP
•    Advanced stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships
•    Intermediate computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office and Microsoft project)
•    Sound knowledge of OEM parts systems and literature, particularly SIS, Caterpillar
•    Previous experience using OEM parts systems with CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu, Cummins
•    Whilst not essential, hold a trade qualification – Heavy Diesel Mechanic and knowledge of Caterpillar equipment and processes would be regarded favourably. 
•    This role is suitable for both advanced heavy mobile Planners and Supervisors exposed to work management process seeking a change from the FIFO environment
