We are looking for a Planner/Scheduler to join our Facilities and Infrastructure team based at Winu. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing an integrated operational schedule for the Winu project.

This role involves collaboration with all teams to ensure timely execution of key activities, scheduling of maintenance, procurement and logistics management, and identifying process improvements. The Planner also acts as a liaison between site operations and off-site project management and leadership to ensure smooth coordination and delivery.

As this is a site based role you will be working on a 15 days on 13 days off roster.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with all teams on the Winu project to document, maintain, and update the integrated operational schedule.
  • Schedule key maintenance activities on-site, coordinating with service providers to ensure timely execution.
  • Oversee procurement and logistics of essential goods and services (fuel, JetA1, gas, parts, etc.) and manage receipting.
  • Act as the liaison between site operations and off-site project management/leadership to ensure effective communication.
  • Develop insights into daily processes to drive improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement standardisation and simplification across business activities.
  • Support project teams by developing individual schedules and ensuring alignment with overall project timelines.
  • Manage procurement documentation, schedules, and delivery timelines to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on project schedules, procurement progress, and logistical needs.

Where you’ll be working

Winu

Winu is a 100% Rio Tinto owned copper-gold mineralisation project in the Yeneena Basin of the Paterson Province in Western Australia. The project is located approximately 130 km north of the Telfer mine and 350 km southeast of Port Hedland. Teams at Winu are taking an agile approach to greenfield project development and being innovative in the way we bring a mine from exploration to production.
