ABOUT CANNINGTON

Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead.  Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville. Cannington mine provides on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as sporting and gym facilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a 4:3, 4:3, 8:6 roster, FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville direct to the onsite airport.

As the Processing Manager, you will be responsible for providing operational leadership across processing & metallurgy to safely deliver metal production and cost targets aligned with strategic goals.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Leading safe operation of crushing, flotation, filtration, and tailings.
• Driving continuous improvement in cost, recovery, quality, and throughput.
• Managing departmental budgets, reporting, and performance tracking.
• Shaping a proactive team culture focused on safety and excellence.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Leading operational teams in complex base metal processing environments.
• Knowledge and experience on multi-metallic processing circuits such as silver, lead, and zinc.
• Influencing outcomes across cross-functional and leadership teams.
• Creating inclusive, high-performance cultures that support development.
• Driving results through continuous improvement and clear decision-making.

Qualifications for this position are: 

• Bachelor of Engineering or Science in related discipline
