About the Role

  • Role based at our Caval Ridge Mine (Queensland)
  • FIFO/DIDO full time position on a 7/7 Day shift roster working 12.5-hour days. 
  • FIFO can be from Brisbane or Carins.

In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking preventative maintenance and providing technical field support for the mine site Digital Radio System & Operational Technology Services 

Your key responsibilities:

  • Ensure day to day availability and maintenance of site Operational Technology Services – (DRS) Digital Radio Systems 
  • Provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to support teams to resolve priority issues.
  • Execute work orders as per schedule and/or directed by Supervisor and safely complete the relevant work instructions associated with the Maintenance Strategy.
  • Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and delivery.
  • Validate quality of work performed prior to completion.
  • Review and request updates to Work Management and other Maintenance Master Data as required.
  • Complete work management processes during shift and update supervisor.

About You

  • Trade certificate in Radio Communications, Electronics or Electrical. Telecommunications or similar discipline
  • Familiarity with mining Operational Technology, Digital Radio, Fleet Management, and Communication Networks (Network and Server infrastructure, CCTV, Wireless Telemetry System (WTS), Driver Safety System (DSS) and Physical Access Management System (PAMS)
  • Proven track record of Safety within a large-scale operational environment
  • Ability to interpret and read maintenance plans and technical information.
  • An ability to prioritize effectively and execute tasks in a changing work environment.
  • Proactively build and maintain relationships with customers/partners.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills
  • Australian C class driver’s license
  • Open/unrestricted ACMA Cabling Licence preferable

Desirable experience:

  • Exposure to large scale Coal Mining Operations 
  • SAP Work Management
  • Working at Heights, Confined Space and First Aid training
