About the role
We are currently searching for an experienced RNM Senior Planner to join the team at our Dampier, 7 Mile operation, providing strong leadership and technical expertise, whilst reporting to the Superintendent Planning.
This role will be responsible for the day to day management of the team and be accountable for the aligned delivery of achievable and safe maintenance schedules.
The RNM Senior Planner role is being offered in a residential capacity out of Karratha, or FIFO from Perth on a 5/2 – 4/3 roster.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Providing technical expertise in work management
- Continuing to improve and streamline processes
- Ensure all works are aligned to IMS and GLM obstruction rules
- Maintain control of backlog and notification numbers
- Monitor quality of team outputs and ensure corrective actions are taken where deficiencies are found
- Attend weekly planning meetings
- Lead and drive team development
- Maintain regular 1:1 discussion with direct reports
- Ensure performance objectives are achieved
- Create a safe & inclusive working space for yourself & team members
About you
To be successfully considered for this role you will have:
- Minimum 5 years planning experience
- Manual driver’s license
- Minimum 1 year rail experience
- M3 Safe working
- Experience within a similar role and exposure in leading others
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral, at all levels
The below would also be highly desired for this role :
- Cert II Rail Infrastructure
- History in Rail Industry
- Cert IV Project Management
- Frontline leadership qualification
Where you will be working
Our privately owned and operated rail network is an essential part of our integrated production process and services our 15 mines across the Pilbara via 1,700km of track. With depots located at Tom Price, Cape Lambert and Dampier (7 Mile), each train is operated by a single driver and comprises up to three locomotives and 240 ore cars stretching to approximately 2.7 kilometres in length with over 40 trains operating per day. We are also applying and adapting technology to improve safety and productivity across our rail network.
