About the role
We are looking for Divisional Secretaries to join Rio Tinto Iron Ore. This is an exciting opportunity to support a high-performing teams supporting current operations and enabling the company’s future.
You will act as a representative and ambassador for the company working with the highest level of professionalism and discretion, building strong relationships with an in-depth knowledge of our organisation, its processes, and systems.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will:
Provide administration support to the division’s leadership team
Provide calendar management for the General Manager
Book travel and preparing itineraries for site and international trips.
Organise meetings, events, workshops & conferences including divisional team days, service awards, end of year events, and any other required activities.
Manage Reward & Recognition process for the division.
Raise purchase orders and processing invoices for payment and manage credit card expense reports.
Work closely and effectively with business advisors and other administrative staff within RTIO to ensure efficient and effective operation and collaboration within the division and the wider business.
About you
To succeed in the role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience in a similar support role.
High level of discretion, dealing with confidential and sensitive information
Positive attitude with a willingness to make a difference and build team culture.
The ability to prioritise, multi-task, have a flexible working approach and work unsupervised.
Advanced MS Office skills, MS Outlook, Work and MS PowerPoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Very strong attention to detail.

Where you’ll be working
This role is based in Perth, at our head office in Central Park, and working Monday to Friday.
In the Pilbara region of Western Australia, we own a world-class, integrated network of 17 mines, four independent port terminals, a rail network spanning nearly 2,000 kilometres and related infrastructure – all designed to respond rapidly to changes in demand. We are one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of iron ore.
