We are looking for a Senior Adviser – Test Assurance (Financial Reporting) to join a major enterprise reporting and systems transformation program. This is an opportunity to help ensure financial reporting outputs are accurate, reliable and aligned with business requirements through robust testing, validation and assurance activities.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager – Project Delivery, you will coordinate and support financial reporting validation and data assurance activities across the Finance workstream of the Modern ERP program. Working closely with Finance, Tax, Data, Reporting, IS&T and project stakeholders, you will help ensure reporting and data outcomes are ready for each test phase and that validation activities are executed in accordance with programme quality standards and governance requirements.

You will play a key role in test planning and coordination, readiness assessments, evidence management, stakeholder sign-off, defect governance and reporting. The role acts as a central point of coordination between program and business teams to support successful delivery of required outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinate financial reporting validation and test assurance activities across project test cycles and release phases.

  • Support validation planning, ensuring test entry criteria, dependencies, environments, data and resources are in place to enable successful execution.

  • Monitor validation progress and provide status, risk and quality reporting to support programme governance and decision-making.

  • Ensure validation evidence is captured, reviewed and maintained in accordance with programme standards and audit requirements.

  • Facilitate stakeholder review and sign-off processes, ensuring validation outcomes are appropriately documented and traceable.

  • Coordinate defect triage, prioritisation and resolution activities across business, data and technology teams.

  • Maintain traceability between reporting requirements, test scenarios, validation results, defects and supporting evidence.

  • Manage validation artefacts, test results, defects and reporting documentation within approved tools and frameworks.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in test assurance, testing coordination, project coordination or project support within complex transformation environments.

  • Strong Finance background with experience in financial reporting, management reporting, statutory reporting, tax reporting or accounting functions.

  • Proven experience conducting data validation, data quality reviews and reconciliation activities.

  • Experience supporting enterprise systems uplift, ERP transformation or large-scale SAP projects.

  • Strong understanding of reporting controls, reporting validation and the importance of accurate financial data.

  • Ability to engage effectively with Finance, Data, Technology and Project stakeholders across multiple workstreams.

  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
