The opportunity
The Facilities planning and reporting team are responsible for providing end‑to‑end financial planning, analysis and reporting across Facilities operations in the Pilbara
Reporting to the Manager Planning & Reporting, the Senior Advisor Contracts & Commercial is responsible for providing specialist support for a shared resources area including strategies, governance, systems, reporting, process improvement and effectiveness.
Key responsibilities will include:
Manage IFM 2.0 Pricing Model: Oversee pricing governance, including annual budgeting, reporting, monitoring of costs, invoicing, Baseline governance, savings tracking, and reconciliation.
Budget Setting & Validation: Lead the development and validation of budgets, ensuring alignment with financial targets and strategic objectives.
Approval Oversight & Ordering Services: Coordinate approvals for base and additional services and manage ordering of other services as required.
Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with Supplier to manage pricing changes and variances, fostering trust and solid commercial relationships.
Financial Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks through detailed financial analysis, ensuring integrity of the IFM 2.0 commercial framework.
Innovation Management: Support benefit tracking within the innovation process to ensure measurable outcomes.
Change Control Management: Support the contract change process whenever there is a financial impact, ensuring compliance and transparency.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build partnerships with internal teams (Procurement, Finance, Communities) and external stakeholders to support pricing governance and operational excellence.
Performance Reporting: Develop clear, concise presentations to communicate pricing trends, commercial performance, and strategic initiatives.
What you’ll bring:
To be successfully considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant or related discipline.
Proven experience in financial planning, pricing governance, and commercial management.
Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control principles.
Experience in transformation projects and business case evaluation for value creation.
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.

Where you’ll be working
In the Pilbara region of Western Australia, we own an integrated portfolio of iron ore assets: a world-class, integrated network of 16 mines, four independent port terminals, a 1,700 kilometre rail network and related infrastructure – all designed to respond rapidly to changes in demand.
We are one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of iron ore.
This will be a Perth based role at our Central Park office in Perth CBD.
