We're looking for a Senior Payroll Officer who thrives on complexity, enjoys solving payroll puzzles, and takes pride in getting every detail right.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, end-to-end payroll services across multiple contracts and sites. You will be trusted to manage complex payroll requirements, provide expert advice, interpret Enterprise Agreements, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure every employee receives the right pay, every time.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys balancing technical payroll expertise with exceptional customer service.

Minimum skills and attributes we are seeking:

  • Proven experience in end to end, high volume payroll with multiple EAs and Awards;
  • Experience administering end of month reporting, statutory returns and salary packaging;
  • A customer-focused approach with excellent stakeholder engagement skills;
  • Highly developed time management and ability to prioritise deadlines;
  • Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of Contracts and Enterprise Agreements;
  • Advanced attention to detail and commitment to accuracy;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and neutrality while handling sensitive data;
  • Strong Excel skills and analytical capability;
  • Proven track record of maintaining payroll accuracy and compliance;
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement and process optimisation;
  • Experience using Pronto (highly desirable).
