Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Mine Support Services Supervisor, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. The role is responsible for safely conducting the drill and blasting activities on site including but not limited to:

• Magazine reconciliation
• Provide training and coaching to develop those of less experience
• Working effectively within a team environment
• Highly skilled bench practice
• Efective operation of the crew when leading shots

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

To be highly considered for this position you will have the following:Skills & Experience

• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• High level analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly developed skills in shot firing
• Skilled in hazard identification and responsive to safety issues
• Experienced in the provision of drill and blast applications within an Open Cut mining environment
• Experienced in maintaining communication across several departments
• Experience in Through-seam Blasting and use of Electronic Detonating Systems advantageous

Qualifications

• Current Conduct Surface Shotfiring Operations Qualification
• SSAN - Current police clearance
• Current Standard 11 Mine Induction (Surface)
• Current Australian Open Driver's licence
