About the Role

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, the Production Support Officer is responsible for providing administrative support to the Production Managers, Superintendents and Supervisors to drive efficiency across operational routines.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Work closely with back-to-back officer to provide support to Managers, Superintendents and Supervisors in all administration tasks and projects;
- Supports the development and delivery of work plans, manages the execution of administrative functions and communications, designs/carries out essential data management practices and fosters a positive team culture to drive efficiency across administrative processes and operational routines;
- Support the Leadership team with recruitment, on-boarding & off-boarding of budgeted and contracted positions;
- Create and maintain position data, manage work schedule rules, crew lists and corvus;
- Communicate effectively and build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Calendar and email management to enable the efficient organisation and execution of daily activities for Managers, Superintendents and Supervisors;
- Preparing agendas, presentations and coordinating meeting logistics;
- Creation and preparation of reports and communications across the Production Team;
- Data entry in line with processes, compliances, policies, strategies and guidelines set
- Attend Safety Meetings and engage in field leadership;
- Actively identify improvement opportunities and time optimization solutions to forward plan work and ensure effectiveness of leadership team;
- Travel and accommodation bookings, Expense management and reconciliation. Plans essential activities/tasks and initiates action to streamline time management;
About You
- Strong administrative skills - providing day to day assistance to the Department Manager and Production team;
- Previous demonstrated experience in an administrative role;
- Strong technical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to your work and multi-task while prioritizing a variety of complex tasks;
- Effective communication, both written and verbal on a variety of levels;
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential, allowing you to influence while also enabling you to build relationships across multiple departments;
- Strong organisational skills and time management skills;
- Achieves results through working with multiple stakeholders and managing multiple work processes in a busy and complex environment;
- Ability to manage competing priorities within tight timeframes and meet deadlines;
- A positive attitude, able to adapt quickly to your work environment and enjoy working as a team player;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential;
- Managing confidential and sensitive matters with diplomacy;
- Exposure to and understanding of BMA’s systems and processes including Workflow SAMS, SAP, SAP Concur, Fiori, C-Res, CORVUS, TMT, Documentum, Right Crowd is highly desirable;
Location
The role is based at Saraji, Dysart, central Queensland as either a residential or DIDO working a 7:7 roster. The Saraji open cut mine is a coal mine located 200 kilometres southwest of Mackay and 60 kilometres southeast of the mining town of Moranbah. The Saraji Coal Mine has coal reserves amounting to 648 million tonnes of coking coal, one of the largest coal reserves in Asia and the world. Coal produced at the Saraji mine is exported to overseas steel makers in India, the Americas, Europe, East Asia and South Asia.
