Role purpose
Be the voice of our frontline and the partner of delivery. You’ll turn real-world problems into connected, reliable and user-friendly digital solutions that make work easier, decisions faster and information clearer—embedding them into the way of working so “best operator” becomes business-as-usual.
What you’ll do
Lead and deliver digital initiatives that simplify work, clarify information and speed decision-making across mines, rail and port.
Champion the customer voice—co-design with operators and supervisors; translate field needs into clear product requirements and priorities.
Balance value, risk and delivery—manage competing priorities, scope and change to land outcomes safely and on time.
Build strong partnerships with frontline teams, Iron Ore operations, Improvement and IS&T to unlock high-value outcomes.
Plan and govern—support annual budgeting, resource forecasting and roadmaps to set up for success.
Model a growth mindset—test, learn, challenge the status quo and share lessons openly.
Drive change that sticks—guide change management tailored to operational realities
Engage across Rio Tinto—align stakeholders, resolve conflicts and make evidence-based prioritisation calls.
What you’ll bring
Continuous improvement mindset (SPS/Lean/Agile) and unwavering commitment to safety.
Skill in stakeholder engagement from operator to executive; strong facilitation and communication.
Experience of digital products or projects in operational environments (plant, rail or port preferred).
Data literacy (turn signals into insights; comfort with dashboards/metrics).
Nice to have: Exposure to mining value chain and/or analytics/AI-assisted workflows.

Where you’ll be working
This role is based at our Perth CBD office with flexible working arrangements available. Opportunity to travel to site occasionally also on offer.
