About the Role

As Specialist Maintenance Performance, you will work in a high-performing team that is responsible for providing performance insights to drive improvements in BHP Maintenance performance globally.

Reporting to the Lead Performance and Reporting, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to deliver data-driven insights, identify performance gaps, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support regular reporting cycles by sourcing, validating, and analysing operational performance data from multiple sources.
  • Deliver insightful commentary and engage with stakeholders to drive understanding and action.
  • Synthesise complex information from multiple sources to provide clear, actionable insights for senior leaders.
  • Develop a deep understanding of maintenance performance for a specific BHP asset, aligned with business plans and strategic priorities.
  • Identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities through data monitoring and analysis.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes and tools.

About You

We are looking for a driven and analytical professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will bring:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large, complex datasets.
  • Proven experience delivering clear, concise analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to workplace diversity.
  • Solid understanding of maintenance processes and systems, including planning, reliability, and asset management.
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or related.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in asset management within mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
  • Background in engineering or management consulting.
  • A track record of proposing innovative ideas that deliver business value.

Location

The role will be based in our corporate offices in Adelaide, Australia. You will be working on Monday to Friday roster with flexibility offered on a 3-2-1 arrangement (three days from the office, two days from home, one in-office day must be a Monday or Friday).To find out more about working with BHP and to meet some of our team, click here.
