About the MECoE

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager Planning and Asset Health, this role is responsible for Repairable & Warranty activities and standards that support WAIO and Nickle West.  

  • Ensure compliance to Repairable & Warranty standard processes and utilisation of business systems.
  • Determine the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.
  • Strive to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.
  • Drive collaboration across MECoE teams and other corporate functions to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Build business partnerships and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders internal and external to the business.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to support customer group by leveraging continuous improvement and BHP Operating System practices.
  • Be focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader through engaging, developing and coaching your team whilst ensuring an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.

About You

As a successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • The ability to engage and find positive outcomes with internal and external stakeholders
  • Well-developed engagement skills with an interest in providing leadership, stewardship, support and solutions.
  • High level communication and influencing skills.
  • Foundational leadership experience and engagement of teams that support high quality and engaged delivery.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement strategies with financial and commercial acumen.
  • Experience or knowledge of Work Management, Warehouse and Inventory Management process would be beneficial.
  • Vendor management skills and experience in contract management would be beneficial.

Location

In this full-time permanent position, you will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.

  You will be working on Monday – Friday roster while flexible work is also Offred. Site travel is also required.
