About the role

We have a vacancy for a CMS Supervisor to join our Utilities team. The role will report to the Utilities Maintenance Superintendent and operate on a family friendly 8 days on, 6 days off day shift roster – FIFO from Perth.

This role will be responsible for leading, mentoring, coaching and developing the Utilities Contractors including providing regular performance feedback. ​

You will also be responsible for :

  • Monitor, record, and report HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and SOW (Scope of Work) performance

  • Ensure HSE, CRM (Contractor Resource Management), field time, variation control, and cost management requirements are met

  • Appointment as Statutory Supervisor under WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022 with functions as per Schedule 26

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including statutory obligations

  • Proactively coordinate and support planned and breakdown maintenance where contractors are used

  • Assist with work management for contractors

  • Custodian for many maintenance practices that meet work management outcomes where contractors are utilised

  • Prioritise emerging work based on business needs

  • Complete critical parts upgrades and track through to delivery

  • Expert in maintenance systems such as SAP, Critical Orders, Warranty, and Work Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop Contractor Management Representatives

  • Ensure contractor performance reviews and quarterly performance reviews are conducted regularly​

  • Provide technical and safety support to contract partners

  • Support designated leaders on contractor mobilisation procedures​

What you’ll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have: 

  • Previous experience leading teams and/or HSE leadership experience​

  • Solid working knowledge of contractor management framework, systems, policies, standards and practices​

  • Demonstrated fixed fire systems experience is desirable

  • A Current ‘C’ Class Driver's License (Manual)​

  • Relevant trade qualification preferred (mechanical, electrical)​

  • Working toward a Statutory Position Legal Exam – Statutory Supervisor​

  • Approved Risk Management Training ​

Where you’ll be working

This role will be based across the Eastern Pilbara, based at Yandi with a focus on overseeing Yandi and Gudai-Darri operations on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster – FIFO from Perth.

Located 95km north-west of Newman, Yandicoogina offers a range of fly in fly out rosters. As one of Australia's largest-producing iron ore mines; operating a fleet of autonomous trucks and drills, it generates more than 55 million tonnes of Hammersley Iron Yandi (HIY) fines each year.

Yandicoogina is known for its culture of teamwork, can-do attitude and pioneering spirit, leading the way with innovation and technological advances in autonomous operations and robotics.

In the Pilbara region of Western Australia, we own a world-class, integrated network of 17 mines, four independent port terminals, a rail network spanning nearly 2,000 kilometres and related infrastructure – all designed to respond rapidly to changes in demand.
