We are looking for Supervisor Mine Water Management to join our Mine Operations team at Marandoo. You’ll be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviors, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to your team, with the aim of driving consistent performance and innovation in relation to safety, cost and production.
You’ll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work on a fly in, fly out, 8 days on; 6 days off, roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Water Management and working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will:
- Adhere to all Rio Tinto standards, policies and procedures
- Appointment as Statutory Supervisor under WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022 with the functions as per Schedule 26
- Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and implementing
- Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties
- Deal with the day-to-day running of team as well as ensuring the daily scheduled work is safely completed
- Provide coaching in the field both around both Health and Safety and work direction
- Oversees and utilises the work management system outputs to determine where team assets need to be deployed across the site
- Work with the Engineer MWM to facilitate the timely completion of projects
- Maintain regular communication with the Advisor MWM so that daily mine water management operations are not compromised
- Ensure regular equipment reviews (between shutdowns) are undertaken to minimise breakages and faults
- Provide a range of learning opportunities to team members, allowing them to gain experience in a range of roles
- Monitor and refine safety procedures and processes

- Technical experience within mine water management or similar
- Statutory Position Legal Exam – Statutory Supervisor (or working towards)
- Hold a current "C Class" WA Manual Driver’s License
