BMA Caval Ridge Mine is an open cut mine located in Queensland, Australia. Caval Ridge Mine is situated in the northern section of the Bowen Basin, approximately 6km south-east of Moranbah and 160km south-west of Mackay.
Overburden removal and coal mining are the two main components of open cut mining operations at Caval Ridge, with an on-site CHPP to process the coal. Waste movement at the Caval Ridge Mine is excavated using dragline and truck & shovel fleets. The CHPP includes a run-of-mine (ROM) dump station, coal receiving and sizing facility and tailings filter station.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Drill & Blast Supervisor for our Production Overburden team at BMA Caval Ridge. We are looking for an energetic, progressive, and collaborative leader to join our Production leadership team. This position offers FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns on 7:7 Roster.
Reporting to the Superintendent Drill & Blast and leading a diverse team you will:

Lead, coach, and mentor team members to deliver on plan and build a high performing team;

Develop and lead a culture of inclusion and diversity;

About You
Ideally you will have completed the S123 / G2 courses. You will also be able to demonstrate previous success in leading a diverse team to deliver exceptional safety and operational results.

You will have a strong understanding of the risks of the supervisor position and SHMS, with experience in facilitating risk management investigations;

Mandatory QLD explosive security clearance and Shotfirer/Support shotfirer licence;

You will have excellent communication skills, verbal and written along with your ability to influence stakeholders by setting direction, providing sufficient communications to gain agreement and commitment at all levels while taking accountability and have an action oriented working style;

You will be provided with exposure to all levels of the organisation, and this role will see you develop influential relationships with multiple functions and stakeholders, including senior leadership;

Minimum of 5 years drill and blast experience with skills and knowledge in Drill & Blast tools, tasks, products and application tools;

Design and Scheduling experience preferred.
