About the Role

We have opportunities for experienced Production Trainer Assessors to deliver coaching across a range of sites in Queensland. Trainer Assessors will be site-based and work rosters will be in conjunction with frontline. As we grow, our Trainer Assessors may be required to move between different sites to support new and upcoming Operations Services (OS) deployments.

Your key deliverables include, but are not limited to:

  •  Deliver competency based training materials to individuals or groups;
  • Conduct Verification of Competencies for large mining Production equipment to ensure new team members are competent and authorised to work;
  • Review performance and implement training in line with business drivers;
  • Contribute to the design of training plans and support colleagues close any training gaps;
  • Ensure training materials are maintained in line with business and industry standards;
  • Ensure team members are adequately skilled and are available across all shifts to ensure safe and effective execution of work;
  • Work with team members to support upskilling and career progression;
  • Coach and mentor team members on how to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions relating to standardised work.

About You

As a Certified Trainer Assessor, you will demonstrate:

  • Solid experience as a Trainer Assessor within the resources sector and meet Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Levels;
  • Have a current Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment - preferably the TAE40116 or working towards achieving this;
  • Hold relevant licences;
  • A Mining Production Operational and Training background, and ideally, experience training Excavators to 800t class and Track Dozers;
  • Have maintained currency with the plant/equipment and work activities in which you train/assess;
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work autonomously;
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships and facilitate presentations;
  • Understanding of tactical decision making and prioritising for value and;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coach to improve performance and upskill.
