Macmahon is looking for experienced Tyre Fitters to support our mobile plant maintenance team at Byerwen—one of Queensland’s leading hard coking coal operations.

About the Role

• Inspect, remove, fit, rotate, and inflate tyres on heavy mobile equipment, including haul trucks and excavators.
• Perform tyre repairs and pressure management in line with OEM specifications and Macmahon procedures.
• Operate tyre handlers, jacking equipment, and inflation systems safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with supervisors, fitters, and planners to align tyre maintenance with production priorities.
• Adhere to all site safety protocols, including JHAs, Take 5s, and isolation procedures.

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

• Relevant trade qualification or Certificate II in Mobile Tyre Fitting.
• Demonstrated experience in mining tyre fitting, preferably on ultra-class equipment.
• Sound understanding of mining safety protocols, including hazard identification, risk management, and isolation procedures.
• Commitment to Macmahon’s safety, reliability, and continuous improvement culture.
• Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical.
