Tyre Fitter / Serviceperson

We're on the hunt for an experienced Tyre Fitter / Serviceperson to join our crew at Olympic Dam in South Australia. You'll be keeping our heavy road transport and earthmoving fleet rolling. 

This is more than just tyre fitting, you'll also jump in to support our maintenance team with mechanical and serviceperson tasks, making every day a little different.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are the same, but you can expect to:

• Change out tyres (bolt-on/bolt-off) safely and efficiently on road trains and heavy equipment.
• Inspect tyres, rims and wheel assemblies, identifying wear and reporting defects.
• Operate tyre handling equipment in line with site and OEM standards.
• Assist the maintenance team with servicing, repairs and general mechanical support.
• Keep your work area tidy and your tools in top shape.
• Complete job paperwork and contribute to a strong safety culture.
• Support apprentices and lend a hand wherever it's needed.

What You'll Bring

You'll be someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing the job right, and works well as part of a team.

Ideally, you'll have

• Experience fitting tyres on heavy road transport and/or earthmoving equipment.
• A current HR Driver's Licence (essential).
• A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Bonus Points If You Have

• AURHTJ103 - Remove, inspect and refit heavy vehicle wheel and tyre assemblies
• Certificate III in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology (or equivalent)
• Working at Heights
• High Risk Forklift Licence.
